I had a better time then I thought I would. Was doing more work then shmoozing, but I got to talk to plenty of people and had a lot of fun. I've looked at the video I shot and looks like I have plenty to make the reunion DVD. The lighting wasn't as good in spots as I had hoped, but I didn't want to risk pissing people off with my bright camera light.....So I'll make due with the hand I have been given. Video cameras perform poorly in low light. Overall.... It should be a decent, although not perfect. I'm no pro! Either email Kelli or I with your mailing address and in 6-8 months, I should have the thing done (I hope! Don't hold me to it..I'm a busy guy!). The editing software is $600 ...so that's the first thing I must tackle and learn. This is FREE to my classmates, so don't sweat it! You will get both a regular standard definition DVD to play in a DVD player...AND.... a high definition disc to play it in ultra-sharp HD on a Blu-Ray player whenever you eventually get one in the future. Still looks very good in standard definition, but looks stunning at times in HD....so get yourself a widescreen HDTV if you don't have one yet to enjoy it fully! As a travel agent, I can lock in group rates, for as little as $100 per person, and if we plan it well, we each make payments until each persons cabin is paid for?? Ok...thank you Kelli for the heads up to people about the DVD of the event. I want to make it clear to people that I plan on filming the entire weekend of events. I'm looking at a total of about 4 1/2 minutes of video...plus any addition time for shout-outs should there be any. I'm gonna try to be as little of a distraction as possible. The plan is to film a little at the beginning, a little mid-event and a little towards the end of the night.....unless some spontaneous event in between warrants turning the camera on. I don't want to be "that guy" that's sticking his camera in people's face every 10 seconds, but I do need to film a little if I'm gonna be able to make a event video......so please try to be a little understanding. Finding a balance is what I've been privately stressed over the last 2 weeks. Just bare with me...... it's all for a good cause. Remember folks... this video isn't just for those that attended the reunion to reminisce. This video is also for those that sadly couldn't make it to the reunion be for financial reasons or logistical reasons (some one to watch their kids, getting time off work, in the middle of a divorce, etc etc). The video at least gives them at least a taste of being there. As for Kelli asking for $5 donations towards the DVD?!!? I ask that if you feel inclined to...simply donate it towards the upkeep of this website,. .....not towards me. It's free to you otherwise as promised. Those that want one, give your mailing address to Kelli since she will be the one sending them out. See ya all there! |

Hello everyone, I just wanted to try to push a few more of you to come to the reunion. I know some people have said that they are over the high school days, or didn't have a good experience, or don't care to see everyone, blah, blah, blah. I just want to say that we all want to see all of you. Whether you were popular, not popular, loved or hated, the more the merrier and I think it will be a lot of fun. People have changed, and I certainly hope that people have gotten over any of the petty things that we fight or sulk about in high school. Life is so much more than that and we all just want to reconnect with our fellow classmates. | Having been gone for 22 years, not sure who would remember me but... I spent a couple of years in Lompoc (8th and 10th grades). I was shocked to get a call telling me about the reunion and would love to make it but unfortunately I won't be able to this time. My life story ( for those that remember me)- I left at the end of my 10th grade year to return home to Florida. I graduated from my hometown HS and went to Florida State, where I walked on to the football team. At that level I was over my head and quickly embraced the college life. I was a key contributor to FSU winning "The Best Party School" in the country while I was there. After school, I went to work, married the girl of my dreams and we have 2 wonderful children. I live in the oldest city in the country, St. Augustine, FL. While I loved the time in California and appreciate how nice everyone was to me, I am a southern boy at heart. I really do want to make it out there and see old friends so this site is wonderful for me to contact some old friends. If you remember me, please feel free to drop me an email. Chantal, please be sensitive to your fellow classmates that have taken the time to sit in front of the computer scanning and uploading photos to the website to make it as great as it’s been thus far. I do agree however, that it could be even better if we were to see a wider array of different faces from the class of 88. For this reason I would encourage you, as well as the rest of “88" to take a little of your time to rummage through those old photos and upload them to the site. If you have any problems uploading to the site, please feel free to send them to me via email and I would be happy to make them available on the site for everyone to enjoy. I think we have changed, 20 years ago my response would have been quite different.

| Hey classmates, I added some pictures from Hapgood through high school. The Hapgood ones are pretty small, I may try to re-scan those, but it sure is fun to look back on some of those memories. Todd, remember the Tahoe trip in "The Van", I'll have to see if I have some pictures in memory of "The Van." I just remember being awakened by that "piece" warming up in the morning outside my window. (For anyone that doesn't know, Todd and I grew up next door to each other). | |||
